• Colin Hundermark

  Since graduating with a BSc majoring in Actuarial Science, Colin has had broad exposure across the South African insurance industry. A two-and-a-half year tenure with Munich Reinsurance of Africa allowed Colin insight into the operations of many of South Africa's top insurance firms and ultimately led to a move to Guardrisk, a specialist cell captive insurer, where he played an important role in the establishment of their new life company, Guardrisk Life. As Guardrisk was part of the Alexander Forbes Group, Colin had many opportunities to participate in group initiatives, including the development of the group's HIV/AIDS consulting strategy. In October of 2003, Colin moved to London and worked for Genworth Financial. Two years later, Colin returned from London and spent a year jointly leading one of South Africa's top charitable organisations, the Starfish Greathearts Foundation. Colin's professional qualifications include BSc, FIA FASSA. He was rated 6th in the Insurance sector in the recent FM Rankings 2008.
