  Dr David Davis has been associated with South Africa's mining industry for the past 25 years. He has served on executive committees in platinum, gold and uranium as well as base metals, advising on metals beneficiation, strategic planning, mining asset management and new business. David currently holds the position of Mining Investment Analyst at Credit Suisse Standard Securities, and was ranked 5th in the Gold sector in the FM Analyst Rankings 2008. David has been published widely in academic journals, financial magazines and newspapers, and regularly presents at local and international conferences and symposiums. The Future of Gold, a publication by David in June 2005, contained a number of, then controversial, now consensus forecasts and has been quoted widely.
